About Amy

Amy Dunn was diagnosed with stage IV malignant melanoma in July 2011. After giving it all she had, Amy lost her battle on March 31, 2012. We will continue to celebrate the life and legacy of Amy, an avid runner, Boise State student-athlete, and Boise native, who loved the great outdoors and all that it had to offer. Dunn was a four-year letterwinner for the Boise State Women’s Soccer team, playing defense for the Broncos from 2000-03. Her impact was felt throughout her four-year career as she currently sits eighth on the Boise State career list for games played with 73.

So what's this all about?

Get It Dunn began in 2011 as a way of rallying Amy’s friends and family to come together and support Amy’s cancer fight. Get It Dunn now continues with a much larger following of individuals, inspired by Amy’s story and committed to continuing Amy’s legacy.

Get It Dunn raises funds for the Idaho Community Foundation’s Get It Dunn endowment and the Boise State University #14 Soccer Scholarship endowment, primarily through hosting an annual Run for Dunn event – a fun run/walk held in Amy’s honor.

Get It Dunn is also involved in other fundraising and melanoma education efforts: sponsoring an auction in 2011 to help Amy with her medical bills and holding Kegs for Kause at Payette Brewing in 2013.

Together, we Get It Dunn.
